Impact & recognition

Selected. Tested. Recognized.

BOUSOL is being recognized where it matters: through ecosystem selection, institutional collaboration, and real-world deployment for communities often left out of traditional financial systems.

Tested under real constraints

A planned pilot became a real-world stress test.

During a UNDP SDG Blockchain Accelerator pilot in Cap-Haïtien, the cellular network went down completely. A contingency satellite connection became the only connectivity available.

BOUSOL and Kura enabled households, merchants, microfinance institutions and nonprofits to receive transfers, make local payments and build a trusted transaction record. UNDP reported a 100% transaction success rate with near-instant performance across both wallets under those conditions.

Why it matters

The pilot moved BOUSOL beyond a feature claim. It demonstrated that digital-payment workflows can continue under the infrastructure constraints that humanitarian and development programs actually face.

Real-world deployment

Digital cash for women in rural Haiti.

In 2026, Mercy Corps Ventures, Fonkoze Foundation and Paon Bleu launched a blockchain-based digital cash pilot in Northwest Haiti using the BOUSOL wallet. The initiative is designed to provide digital cash assistance to 200 extremely vulnerable rural women participating in Fonkoze's Chemen Lavi Miyò program.

This work brings established humanitarian organizations, local expertise, USDC and BOUSOL together to learn how digital cash can serve people in low-connectivity, rural environments.
